If I could send a message to the Hawkeye football team it would be this: "dont let 1 rotten (or in this case 2 or 3 rotten) apples spoil the whole bunch. Sure, loosing Douglas and Bowman is a hit, and Backup QB Arvell Nelson getting in trouble for failure to appear. It all adds up to one big ugly smudge on an otherwise fairly untarnished team, but the Hawks need to bounce back from this, and not let it lead to a lousy attitude, and a lousy season. Lets write this off as water under the bridge and move on and have a great season.

PS - To the rest of the team: Stay out of the police blotter - thats Ohio State Football's place.
